I believe in.. OAK TREE STAMPS DT POST

I created this card using 3 Oak Tree Stamps sets. I used Layered Lilacs for the background. I used the sentiments and a couple icons from Believe.  Chibi Girl & Accessories set was used for the head and face. I just used scraps from a previous card and just stamped a fun background, then splatted some FSJ silkes over top.  Used a leftover butterfly and cut it in half to give my fairy wings. The wings started out red, I e-brushed them with a metallic gold sharpie. I also e-brushed the flowers after I created them using random Prima flowers I was given.   I added everything using various adhesives to ensure everything stayed in place. I pulled out my white gel pen and jsut added a lot of fun white highlights to finish the card. I thought it came out fun and whimsical. I hope you like it!!!

Different But Best Friends Cards

Last night I stayed up late playing with my FSJ goodies. I have a few FSJ things but, I like to use what I already have to show that you can use the FSJ products with what you already have. I used all FSJ inks to stamp on scraps of various cardstocks I had(mostly recollections). The neutral toned card is all FSJ except the sequins and the background brown cardstock.  Most crafts think they have to use all the same product line and that is just not true. I am not very brand loyal but, I DO LOVE Fun Stampers Journey. I can't wait to create more cards with the Creature Comforts Bundle BD-0124

This set is on my FSJ website and includes:
DI-0191 Creature Comforts Die Set
SS-0308 Creature Comforts Stamp Set

Thank You Fairy Much Tag - Oak Tree Stamps DT

I created a fun tag using the Fairy Wishes stamp set. I loved playing with my distress inks, they have been neglected lately. I used 2 kraft circle tags and inked them up up with sponge daubers.  After I had all the colors blended I then splattered water on them. it give a fun splatter to the background. I then too some Silks and dripped a few drops on as well. Using a Vintage Photo distress ink I used some of the smaller stamps in the set to add some more interest to the background. I made sure everything was dry and stamped my sentiment and fairy over top in black ink.  Used a white gel pen to add a few pops of high light here and there! I attached a bow with a brad, so the tags will slide easily.

Here Is What I Used:

OAK Tree Stamps- Fairy Wishes
2- 3 1/2 in. Kraft Circle Tags
Distress Inks:
Faded Jeans
Abandoned Coral
Fossilized Amber
& Vintage Photo
Sponge Daubers
FSJ Silks in Silver Silk
Momento- Tuxedo Black Ink
Gelly Roll- White Gel Pen
FSJ Journey Twine in Neutral
Brown brad (from my stash)

ScrappyDew 4th Of July Photo Booth Props

I used ScrappyDew's July 4th Set to create some fun photo booth props for 4th of July!!!
When you upload all the images into Cricut Design Space you will have to get rid of all the body parts and extras you don't need. Then just play with the sizes til you think it's going to fit a human head.(make sure you group the images so they are all the same size) The hair with bows had a solid back, I just sliced out an oval for my face.  The Uncle Sam mustache was a little harder but what I did was just cut a diamond  where the mouth would be.   I added popsicle sticks with hot glue for the handles. On the larger ones like the hat I used two sticks to make sure it wouldn't wilt. Oh yeah.. the stars in the background are from the set as well.

I had so much fun creating these, and just as much fun taking the photos to share!
I hope I inspired you to think outside the box when it comes to your ScrappyDew files!!!
If you have any other questions or need help in any way please leave a comment or msg me on Facebook.

Have A Happy & Safe 4th Of July!!!!

BE Inspiring Card- OAK Tree Stamps DT Post

Howdy Acorns!!!  Used the Layered Lilac Stamp Set to create this card... I used various inks I own to create the different layers. I used a white gel pen to add white in the center of the flowers. I love that OAK Tree created these stamps with my crafty friend Melody Lane. I only used 3 of the flower layers but the possibilities are almost endless with different colored inks and layers.  Little secret: I messed up doing the last red flower and didn't want to scrap it.  I just tore my paper to give it a distressed look, and it covered it up nicely. I also got finger prints on the white, tada bling! lol Mistakes are just a chance to embellish or distress. I hope you like my card i was trying to "BE inspiring".

Splash Time! ScrappyDew DT Post

I created this Splash Time layout using scraps from DCWV's Vintage Collector Stack, The files I used are from ScrappyDew's Mermaids and Splash Time Boy. I changed up the mermaid a little by using the star that was ment for her hair as her top. and i used the shell in her hair. I just wanted her to be different. The big star in the corner is the same star just layered and off set. I used only Vintage Photo Distress ink to edge all my pieces. To stamp the face I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I used a white gel pen to add highlight and pink chalk on the cheeks. I just used random bling from my stash to add bling and fill empty spaces.  Thanks for stoppin by!!! -Chris

Happy Purr-thday Gift Bag- OAK Tree DT Post

Just dropping in to share my second OAK Tree stamps DT project for the month. I wanted to make anything but a card.  I made this bag from Cricut's Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More cartridge. I used the scraps to stamp out the Kitty and the paw. I fussy cut them out. I added the paw on a mini clothespin to secure my bow. I stamped the sentiment on a blue piece of paper and cut it into a flag  glued it behind the kitty and attached it to the bag. I bent the kitty's ears and tail to give it dimension. I cut strips with the left over blue paper and crimped them and curled them for filler. I hope you like my project and can't wait to see what I've got in mind for the NEW! OAK Tree Stamps!!!
Make sure you follow them on FB so you don't miss a thing!

Best Mummy Ever- ScrappyDew DT Post

I created this card using a sketch from a card challenge going on this week in my Cricut group The Pioneer Cricuteer. You can find the link to the card sketch DS file in my Graduation Card post, posted earlier this week. The super cute mummy can be found at scrappydew.com the pattern set is called Mummy Madness. I have so many cute files from ScrappyDew, I love thinking outside the box when using them.  I was intimidated by this pattern but it was actually very easy. I used to different colored shimmer cardstocks on her. I inked all the edges with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. To embellish the card I used dollar tree bling and a few random sequin. The sentiment is printed out on the same shimmer paper, I cut it out and added a border with the patterned paper.

Thanks For Stopping By & Happy Mummy's Day!!!

Foxy- OAK Tree Stamps DT POST

I've been playing with all the OAK Tree Stamps-Sticker Pages, I just love them all. Omar does such a great job illustrating  and coloring the images. Keep It Foxy is my favorite set. There is so much you can do with these stickers. I Print Then Cut out this fox on cardstock, and just glued him on a pre-made card base. I added some layered flowers and twine to embellish it. I used the Keep It Foxy text sticker on the inside. This card would have took me all day if I would have had to color the image fussy cut it and everything else.
